How do you waterproof batteries and USB ports? [R]2 years, 9 months agoNov. 23, 2016

The important parts of lipos are already completely enclosed. As for micro USB ports, consider using a product like this: https://www.amazon.com/uxcell®-Black-Plastic-Cover-Micro/dp/B00E0H72DC
Took my S7 Edge in the pool with me yesterday... [R]3 years, 3 months agoJune 12, 2016
And guess what? It's completely fine. Took a bunch of underwater photos, which were completely awesome. Also some underwater slow motion cannonballs.
This phone is amazing.
Here's a slow motion Cannonball, or an attempt at the very least. https://youtu.be/sire3Jz-Eio
Pics https://imgur.com/a/iDgTR maybe slightly nsfw? All safe for pool though.

Preventing charging port from getting wet? [R]3 years, 4 months agoMay 18, 2016
Obviously, the best way to prevent the charging port from getting wet is to not get the phone wet but we all know that's not gonna happen.
Last time that I went to the beach, my phone got "accidentally" wet and it was acting funny for about a day. The moisture detected message kept popping up for many hours even after the phone was dry (I'm guessing the salt water gave it some form of PTSD). I know it does this to protect itself but it was completely dry after a few hours and I was still getting the message.
Anyway, I was wondering if there is some kind of silicone plug that could be placed in the charging port to prevent any water from getting in. This would prevent the hassle of waiting hours to be able to charge my phone.

Why don't more mods have a micro usb cover/flap to protect it from water damage? [R]3 years, 7 months agodupedgg posted submission on electronic_cigarette.

As many of you are already aware, Hurricane Jonas came and ripped the east coast a new asshole. Some of the snow on the streets is beginning to melt, and now there are huge puddles of water everywhere.
Long story short, I was taking a walk in my neighborhood and taking some hits off of my eGo One. Proceeded to put it back in my pocket but like a dumbass I dropped it straight into a giant puddle water, completely submerging it. My initial reaction was to immediately turn off the mod with the 5 button presses, but I didn't because I wasn't not sure if it would short or cause me harm.
I unscrewed the eGo One tank and submerged the battery in a bag of rice. Here's hoping.
I think a simple micro usb cover or a flap would solve this issue. I was browsing other box mods, mech mods, etc and it seems every single one does not have some sort of protection for the micro usb port. Even the original eGos that had passthrough had a cap that you could screw on and off that would lead to the mini usb port.

I appreciate the appreciation. I haven't used the charger. With the advent of magnet doors, I just swap batteries. I HAVE looked into getting some microUSB plugs, though; in case of accidents. http://www.amazon.com/uxcell®-Black-Plastic-Cover-Micro/dp/B00E0H72DC/ref=pdsim1474?ie=UTF8&dpID=41%2BTDi%2BUEuL&dpSrc=sims&preST=ACUL160SR160%2C160_&refRID=1R2WQEA4XDFQSSVCX7M1
