Can anyone explain the different charging statuses? [R]

Can someone help me and explain what the different charging statuses mean?

1) Charging Slowly 2) Charging 3) Charging Rapidly

If you're aware of others please add and explain the meaning. Thanks!

I wouldn't consider these garbage. But for some reason they only charge normal. Doesn't say slow or rapidly.

u/90N1NE makes baller cables. I have bought three from him, 2 being usb-c. The heads have no extra material. I've also purchased these in the past (using one right now). They're great, and don't have a TON of extra head material but it's there (2mm extra on width, 3mm extra on height). Works fine in all the cases I've tried (KBDFans 5 deg, Sentraq Alu w/ Underglow, cheapie Sentraq thin alu case)

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread

The purpose of this thread is to avoid cluttering up the subreddit with quickly and easily answered questions and game recommendations. This thread is monitored by many helpful members of our community and questions that are asked here have a very high answer rate assuming you provide enough information for our answerers to work with.

Before asking your question...

  • Check out the wiki pages listed below. - The mod team as well a handful of community volunteers are always adding to our wiki and updating it based on what we see users asking in this thread and in other posts on the subreddit. (We're always looking for more help with the wiki. If you're interested in becoming a wiki contributor, message /u/FlapSnapple.)
  • Perform a quick Google search. - Some questions really are just a quick search away and don't need the help of our community members to answer.
  • Search the subreddit. - We know Reddit's search isn't the best and saying to use the search doesn't sound very helpful, however, a community member created a custom search tool that works much better than the standard Reddit search. It's mobile friendly, has live results as you type, searches previous DQTs and MegaThreads, previews top comments, and more! Search /r/NintendoSwitch with Narfar, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Reminders

  • We have a #switch-help channel in our Discord server.
  • Recommendation requests need to provide some background information. What genres you like, what your budget is, what you already own, etc. Give the answer providers some information to work with.
  • Instructions and links to information about homebrew and hacking are against our rules and should take place in their relevant subreddits.
  • Please be patient. Not all questions get immediate answers. If you have an urgent question about something that's gone wrong, consider other resources like Nintendo's error code lookup or help documents on the Switch.
  • Make sure to follow Rule #1 of this subreddit: Remember the human, and be polite when you ask or answer questions.

Thanks for this resource. I ordered this cable, would it be safe? There's one on your website that's similar and says it's USB-IF certified, but it's not the exact same.

I use these and they're great. Just keep in mind that USB-C is still pretty new tech in terms of consumer adoption -- custom cable makers are just now starting to make 'em.

C to C cables are even younger than the USB-C standard overall, so using those can be sketchy if you don't pony up for a nice one.

I have some sick af braided cables I got for my phone that I'll be using. I didn't factor it into the price tho, because I'm not sure I want to use it yet. Depends on how well it matches with GMK 9009. I'll add it on there tho, since it's technically part of the build.

With the wrist rest, I use it a ton. However, I currently have a THICC Saber68 that's pretty tall. I might not need one, I'm not sure yet. I'm going to just hold onto my current wrist rest and see if I need it once the board is all together.

I like the forward tilt. I've never tried negitive tilt though, so I'll give that a try once the parts are in.

I have an iron and solder already, so I'm all good.

Thank you for your input! I appreciate it!
