I just bought a used Pax 1. I'm pretty impressed with it. I tried a Pax 2 a couple of months ago that a friend had. Well I had an opportunity to purchase a Pax 1 at a good price. I have to say it works great even though it's the old model.

Super important that you clean the stem of the mouth piece and the area between the mouthpiece and the draw stem (essentially, the area where the stem is inserted). If this area is not cleaned thoroughly, the mechanism for the mouthpiece will become gunked up, the mouthpiece will get stuck, and the device will have difficulty recognizing when the mouthpiece is in the on or off position.
Stronly recommend this tool for cleaning, it has a few different sized wire brushes that will help you keep the mouthpiece, draw path, oven AND the area described above all nice and clean: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YCGWBC/ref=oxscacttitle2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER.

New to the wax game so please bare with me.
Got a omicron v4, used it with wax, live rosin, and shatter for about a week, then cleaned it per the instructions on w9tech blog with iso and warm/hot water. Got the ceramic surround nice and white, there is no getting those coils clean though. There's this black buildup that's only getting worse. What do?
Here is an image to show the black buildup. It's been used a bunch since the last cleaning, but the buildup is pretty consistent. If I hold the button super long some vapour/smoke comes off, but it never seems to stop or be done.

That pic looks like you got some impure stuff with a bunch of plant matter or Chlorophyl in it. If its like it was for me a few weeks back, you will need to get yourself a small nylon brush to coax some of that off. I have this set and it comes in handy. Most often to help get spatter loose on my globe. I wrap whatever size brush I need in a Alcohol cloth. Just make sure to not rub the metal core on your coils/walls.
Where do you buy cleaning supplies for Pax 2? [R]3 years, 8 months agoJuly 26, 2016

That is really weird. They may have been hidden. Sometimes they're in such a random spot it's hard to find. Like the family planning aisle in between the condoms and lube on the second shelf from the bottom (I'm 100% kidding...or am I?).
I usually get my stuff from CVS. 99% iso (or whatever's closest) and pipe cleaners from the arts and crafts section. Just make sure to get the coarser ones and not the super fluffy ones. If they only have the fluffy ones go somewhere else. What I recommend doing is actually going online and buying this reusable pipe cleaner thing. Something like this:
Never worry about pipe cleaners again. They even come in different sizes. I have one that's bong sized lol.

If you're new to cannabis vaporisers, this thread is for you (and those who would like to assist you). Here you can ask which vape to buy, where to buy it, or post any other basic questions you might have (or comments you might like to make) about vapes and vaping.
This thread is updated regularly. At the moment it's set for Mondays and Thursdays at 1pm UTC (ie 8am EST, 5am PST, 12pm AEST) - current UTC here.
- You can find the list of previous Beginners' Threads here.
For starters, make sure you read the FAQ. Also, the search function (top right of page) is likely to return plenty of threads covering topics you're interested in.
There's plenty more to be found in the sidebar too, including a large collection of redditor's vape reviews. If you're a mobile user, you can find the entire sidebar contents in its own page with this link:
For comparisons between different models of vape, try:
For pen vapes - we had two sticky threads on this subject earlier this year, with lots of helpful info:
Also, take a peek in the Vaporents Official Chatroom - you may find people there who can help you out on-the-spot with your queries (or just to have a chat about any old stuff).
And please remember to keep discussion in this subreddit civil (full posting guidelines here).
Food stuck in headphone jack, help! [R]5 years agoMrsKravitz posted submission on Nexus7.

I just got my nexus 7 back after lending it for a while and there seems to be a crumby substance lodged in the port. I've already tried picking at it with a paper clip, as well as putting a vacuum cleaner up against it. Neither to any success. If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Or maybe a pipe cleaner.
Also, a teeny brush, maybe like a mascara brush, might work. If you have access to one, make sure you wash off all the mascara first, obviously.
Amazon sells cleaning brushes that are even smaller than mascara brushes, probably precisely for spaces as tight as that. Here is the set I bought for $4: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YCGWBC/ref=ohauisearch_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought it to clean the nooks and crannies of a pet water fountain but they were actually smaller than I expected. Like I said, these are smaller than a mascara brush. They would be perfect for getting into that little opening but it's hard to guesstimate if they could help pry out what's stuck. I'd try it together with pressurized air spray and a toothpick (or a wooden orange manicure stick with an angled or pointy end) to try to gently maneuver or break up the particle. Good luck.

Just got a pax and a paxpac along with an extra mouthpiece, an extra bottom, and a few screens My question is, what are your go to accessories? What are their pro's and con's? This can include everything from cases to skins to anything really. Just looking to find some useful stuff from wiser pax users

Its not exactly the coolest accessory, but an important one nonetheless. For cleaning purposes this works great. It has small brushes for the mouthpiece that you can use instead of those disposable dental brushes like most people suggest, and larger bruses for the vapor path.
