LPT: Duracell will replace or repair items that have been damaged by battery defects. [R]

As long as you're using Duracell branded batteries don't toss out damaged items if the battery leaks. Mail the damaged product with the batteries still inside and Duracell will repair or replace the item!

Edit: I don't work for Duracell - I'm pretty sure telling folks to send them their broken stuff for a reimbursement or repair probably isn't in their best interest!! My husband told me this bit of info but I didn't realize he meant ALL major brands.

They last longer than Duracell or Energizer, and they cost about $3 each, but there are cheaper clones and some newer ones with even morecapacity.

Have seen some with really high mAh ratings but am curious as to the quality.

~~No. Give me a moment and I'll elaborate.~~

Actually, not bad, although olight batteries seem pricey to me.

The charger sells at Illumination Supply for $16.99. They sell those same 18650's for $15.99 each. Those nimh batteries are probably not that good, but let's equate them to great Eneloop AA batteries that cost $13.99 for 4/AA.

Add in the cost of shipping at the EdisonBright package looks like a good deal. Illumination Supply might be able to match or beat that price though, but you'll need to contact them. /u/calvinis is one of the owners of Illumination Supply and participates in this sub.

Now if you don't need protected batteries, then you might be able to save some money, especially if you wait for sales and other good deals, but at this point it sounds like you should seek the safety of protected batteries.

Wiimote charging options [R]

So I recently broke down and purchased my holy grail: the golden Zelda Wii Remote Plus bundled with Skyward Sword years ago.

I've been making an effort to slowly phase out my army of plain white Wii motes in favor of more colorful and useful Wii Remote pluses, and have since picked up a black Plus along with the Gold.

I now run into an issue of aesthetics. I had a Nyko charge set for the plain 'Motes but now the back pieces don't match the main color of the Plus bodies. Even If I purchase a new charge kit in a new color I still won't be able to match each Wii mote.

My question is is there anything out there for me and my hodgepodge of wii motes? Something that doesn't require me to replace the backs with a-not-as-nice-looking counterpart? Or are rechargeable AA batteries the only way to go?

Get some eneloops, they last a ridiculously long time. Like most rechargeable batteries there will be a little over head but well worth the cost.

Gaming Mice Suggestions? [R]

I bought the mouse the summer before GW2 was released (summer 2012) and I have not changed the battery yet, it's still going. It only uses 1 battery and a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries will cost you $15. You can use any rechargeable batteries but it comes with this one.

Edit: I use wired when I'm not gaming though. I've never really tested out how long the mouse can last on a single charge- I usually don't play longer than 4 hour per session and it has enough juice for the whole duration.

Edit2: Woops, forgot your second question. No, the 3 face buttons by the left click don't get in the way at all.

Seriously it's almost 2014 and just about everything else is rechargeable [R]
