After three months of adding 5 % Min and 2% Niz to my fin routine. Couldn't be happier so far. (Back story in comments) [R]1 year agoJuly 14, 2018

If your results level out with minoxidl and Niz you might want to try stemox to finish the job filling in the rest.
Does finasteride stop facial hair development? [R]1 year agogranmasutensil posted submission on tressless.

I am almost twenty years old and started using finasteride and minoxidil three weeks ago. My facial hair is still developing, and I really want to grow a beard a few years from now. Based on my genetics I think I have a decent chance of growing a full beard in the near future. However, I am concerned that blocking DHT will stop my facial hair from developing. Is this true or will my facial hair keep developing?
July 15, 2018
It can keep developing but there is a good chance it will be slowed down a lot. Using Minoxidil for beard growth/filling in is a good idea, same with Stemoxydine. Stemoxydine alone almost completely filled in my beard, then about 9 months later I thought I'd try minoxidil with it and it basically finished the job. So I'd recommend just doing both from the start. Just once a day at night is good enough. This is the only stemox product worth getting just to help you out.
What my doctor vs dermatologist recommended. What do you think? [R]1 year agogranmasutensil posted submission on tressless.

I went to see my doctor and he said to:
Cut 5mg Fin tablets into 1mg and take daily. I think he also talked about topical minoxidil
While, the dermatologist i saw recommended:
5mg Fin tablets twice a week.
Half a 10mg Minoxidil tablet twice a week. He said it is better than topical minoxidil.
He also recommended Nizoral
What do you guys think?

daily fin might be slightly superior but you'd still get the benefit doing either so up to you. oral minoxidil has other benefits like being anabolic so if you want to gain some muscle or loss fat easier thats a nice bonus but pretty sure you need to take that daily. I'd get that prescription filled and the cut the 5 mg tabs into 4 and take a quarter every day. Depending on how many minoxidil tablets the prescription is you might want to just do topical minoxidil also or on the days you don't take a tablet if the prescription isn't for that many tablets. Nizoral I wouldn't bother with personally, I believe it can hinder regrowth. Microneedling with a dermanator would be good though and or also topical stemox is a proven topical along with minoxidil for regrowth. The loreal is the best product by far for that. Otherwise it'll cost you 80-100 usd+, smells really good and doesn't leave residue.
Is oral minox better? [R]1 year agoJuly 8, 2018

This might be exactly what you want then. Stemoxydine is specifically for increasing the density of hair. It is in my opnion more gentle than minoxidil too. I've used this product and it definity works and unlike all the other topical products I've used I actually enjoy using it because it smells really good, doesn't leave a gross residue and feels nice. At least this Loreal formulation. They are the ones who created and developed the chemical. There was a study done that after 3 months of using it once a day hair density went up in the 20-30% range. It's a very nice product if you do choose to do any topicals and would go well with everything else you are taking. It's very easy to apply it too. So I highly recommend you try that even if you return the rogaine. If you just want density Stem is probably better anyways its also a huge bottle and lasts forever.
A dermapen is a really good investment they do work and you only need to do it once a week at the most so it isn't too crazy of a commitment. I highly recommend getting the derminator from owndoc.com because it is the only home use product that isn't just a tattoo gun but actually designed for microneedling so it doesnt cause micro tears in the skin it goes straight in and out so its far less painful and more effective and far less likely to cause any damage. I am so happy I waited and invested in one it's been 3 months using it with the other hair products and already 50% of my temples half regrowth now out of what was bald. I also thought hey if I'm doing my head with it once a week why not do a once a week face treatment since thats what most people buy it for and I'm already having it out and going through the trouble. It's improved my skin quite a bit to say the least. After seeing results now I would have bought it just for that haha. So something else you might want to keep in mind. It's set to 1.5mm for scalp/hair regrowth yes it kinda hurts but it's over fast, there will be a tiny bit of blood and should be otherwise you havent done the area enough. A damp cotton pad can wipe it away and the skin doesn't get all bloody after that so it isnt a big deal or like you are bleeding or get a scab after. For the face you set it to 1 mm and do it once a week you just want the skin pink it shouldnt really get any blood because the skin isnt as thin and you arent going as deep. Around the eyes you do .25mm and sensitive areas like neck or top of cheek bones you can do .75 if you want. Their copper peptide and matrixyl serum I use after its really gentile and seems to work and is safe to put on right after. I got it just to try since it was cheap and something safe to put on right after. It's worth it I think and soothes the skin. I dont bother with their gliding serum anytime I use it though.
Also taurine which is a amino acid is good for hair it prolongs anagen which means the stage hair is actively growing vs when it chooses to stop growing and fall out. So by prolonging it all the hairs in your head that are close to the end of their growth cycle and will fall out stay longer and it naturally thickens up ones hair because you have the new hairs cycling in also. Just 500 mg once or twice a day. MSM also really speeds up hair and nail growth a lot which might be good or annoying lol. Taking both my hair grows an inch a month currently which is insane but I also live in a hot climate. Hope this helps and good luck.
Will minoxidil help a female with hair loss for 8 years? [R]1 year, 2 months agoMay 14, 2018

No minoxidil isn't the product you want. You want "Stemoxydine" this loreal product is a good one. It smells good, leaves no residue and lasts forever.
Minoxidil and chemo [R]1 year, 2 months agogranmasutensil posted submission on tressless.

Hey guys, My hair on the top of my head really haven't been the same since I finished chemo (oct 2016). Do you guys think minoxidil can help me to get my thick hair back? I have since also had problem with hair growth other places, but these places seems to have become normal now.
My thinning has made me unsure about myself because I'm only 22 and I now often get remarks that I'm balding... But I now it probaly is chemos fault.
My oncologist haven been to any help...

You'd probably get more benefit from stem since it is specifically for thinning and increases the amount of hair in a area vs minoxidil which is more for regrowing on bald spots. But you can use both together.
