This should be a thing. When your kid tries to explain something or tell you how it works in a very cute way but is totally wrong.
For example my almost 4 year old told me how radio towers work. “There is a song or a radio sound and the radio tower has a big magnet in it, and when we want to listen to the sound the big magnet makes the song go into the little magnet in the phone.”
Edit: apparently I need to start watching some of these science shows with her because she was right.

Before last year, pleasure reading wasn't something I even considered doing. I became bored with life's routines at the end of last year and picked up the habit. I read 3 books from October through the end of 2013.
This year, I've read 50 books. My goal was 40. Most importantly, I never felt as if I was reading for any reason other than pleasure. Reading is now a hobby of mine. Here's to a great 2015!
Thanks, /r/books, for so many great suggestions along the way.
Edit: a lot of people have been asking for a list of what I've read, or how they too can start something like this. I'm not going to provide a list, because that's not what this post is about. Do what you want, read what you want, don't read what you don't want. It's that simple.
Also, thank you to the two random Internet people for the gold. I really don't know what that means, but I always see edits with OPs thanking for the gold. So, like, thanks.

I flipped through this at Christmas and thought it was pretty cool for little boy's bedtime book: Goodnight Construction Site
I did another painting for my son who likes constructions equipment. And the stars. And the moon. [R]4 years, 10 months ago[deleted] posted submission on pics.

Do you have a kid? Do you know a kid? Then this is the contest for you!
I've been stuck inside with my one year old for the past week and I think I've read through every single book in our little library at least 100 times. I need a new book to read with her.
You must have an intro post!
Link me to a kids book you think my daughter might enjoy.
Link me to a children's book that you have on your wishlist, I don't care if you add it for this contest or if it was previously added. Try to keep it under $10, I want to gift multiple people. :)
Tell me who the book is for and why you want it.
Raffle phrase "Green eggs and ham."
Contest will end tonight around 9pm after the baby goes to bed.

The book on my sons WL is a buck thirteen over, could I have a GC in any amount and I could pay the rest if I'm a winner. It's called Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site. We have another book by the same author and we really enjoy it, probably read it at bedtime 5 out of 7 nights. This one is supposed to be even better.
Now for your daughter. I used to read this book when I was a child and it just captivated me. For some reason, even when I was younger the book had a very vintage feel to it, which made it very special to me. I would almost cry at certain parts. Anyway it's called Mrs. Suzy and it's a beautiful book.

We already own Steam Train Dream Train by Sherri Rinker and it's a huge hit. This one is supposed to be even more wonderful, plus it's about a construction site which lots of kids are into. Other that the train book and Goodnight Moon we don't have many bedtime stories. My son is pretty independent. Actually extremely independent. Bedtime seems to be one of the only times he actively seeks out companionship. It could just be a ploy to get to stay up longer, and have mommy and daddy up in his room, but I like to pretend he really loves bedtime stories. Now when he's making me grind for coins on Nintendo Land, I know that's a ploy.
Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site we always prefer used!
