Best gimbal for the dog harness [R]7 months agotacoheadxxx posted submission on gopro.

So my girlfriend just got a gopro and the dog harness, but the videos are, understandably, pretty nauseating to watch (thrashy dog body and all that). We did a little research and determined that a gimbal was needed to smooth everything out.
Anyway, after some research on Amazon, I still don't know what brand to trust. There seem to be a lot of terrible chinese knockoffs and stuff out there, along with a bunch of fake reviews. Anything you guys would recommend?

A gimbal will increase smoothness more in my opinion. There's a big difference in someone holding a GoPro as steady as they can and the camera thrashing around on a dog mount. I just bought a removu s1 for helmet mounting and hand held operation. There are lower profile wearable gimbals though.

This is a low profile wearable often used by bikers

Camera: Hero 5 Black
Settings: 1080p , 120fps (overkill...60 is fine), Wind setting ON (don't use auto with gimbals), Auto Lowlight, ProTune.
Harness: GoPro Chest mount
Gimbal: GoPro Karma Grip with extension cable.

I like the gopro because I use the Grip for many other activities with my family. But if I had the money I’d get the WG2 for just mountain biking. Plus it’s not limited to just the Hero 5; You can strap basically any modern action camera to it.
How do you get a nice stable video stream? [R]1 year, 3 months agoMTBnWithDrew posted submission on MTB.

I'm running on a bopower action cam (not a GoPro, but not a cheap cam either) that's strapped on my chest. When I go out and shoot video while I do trails, the resulting video is so shaky that it might give me epilepsy. I tried fixing the camera on my helmet, but it's even worse.
Are there any tricks to get a nice stable video? Is it an apparatus I am missing while biking? Is it a software that I'm missing?

I use a chest strap with an Evo SS Gimbal.
Here's a video I just made using that.
2 axis vs 3 axis gimbal for riding [R]2 years, 2 months agoblindstuff posted submission on MTB.

Looking for some opinions from my fellow riders who record and use a gimbal. I originally ordered a (used) Feiyu tech WG 3 gimbal, and upon arrival, it was broken. So that is on its way back for a return and now I am just going to pony up and buy new.
Now that I am looking at spending a bit more $ ($130 2 axis, $180 3 axis), I'm debating on going with the 2 axis vs the 3 axis. Do any of you have experience with both? With a 2 axis suffice?
The primary riding in my area is quite technical single track if that makes any difference.

With the selfie stick ban what are the best accessories to bring to WDW with my gopro? I have back up batteries and sd cards but what is the best way to save and empty the sd cards without a laptop? Want to use Go pro for walking tours and on rides. Thanks in advance to you veterans!
EDIT: I have a go pro 5 so it is already waterproof. I have the go pro floating selfie stick but wasn't bringing it due to wdw rules. I have a chesty and head mount but are 3rd party and not go pro official so I hope this is allowed.

Gimbal/Stabilizer for GoPro on Tripod mount? [R]2 years, 6 months agoItsTobsen posted submission on videography.
March 30, 2017
So I have a Racer Mount for my car -- it's basically a stick that hooks up to the seat, and extends an arm out to the center console and has a tripod like connector on the top of it. It allows for me to sit like a DSLR or even a phone (with a tripod adapter) on top of it and record driving from the center.
However, because everything is tightened down, it's extremely stiff, and the video is extremely shaky due to bumps, etc. Is there something like a gimbal or stabilizer for something like a GoPro? Ultimately, the closest thing to explaining what I'm looking for is some type of gimbal/stabilizer for a tripod mount that supports a GoPro.
Here's an example of the racermount: http://www.racermount.com/products/img/p/6/0/60-large.jpg

Maybe this subreddit can help me. So as the title says, I recently purchased a GoPro 5 and I have been searching for gimbals to get the best stable footage, but I have been getting a lot of mixed reviews on different Gimbals, does anyone recommend one that's compatible with the GoPro 5 and works the best ? My price range is anywhere from $200-400
