What Are Your Hobbies? What are your Interests? [R]1 year, 8 months agoFallFromEden posted submission on ABCDesis.

I'm pretty introverted and have social anxiety. So for me..... Playing guitar and clarinet. Sometimes basketball by myself (sometimes with my cousins). A little bit of gaming (computer or phone) Listening to music Reading up about politics and science (nerdy I know)
My interests are.... photography, sculpting(wood and stone) hiking martial arts pipesmoking
So what about you? Do you go to clubs (excluding nightclubs)?Do you prefer to stay home? What do you want to get into?

I'm happy to help. But you should be warned that this is a hobby that will take time, energy, and an eye for detail. You will have to do some research and watch videos on how to build kits for the basics. If you've done arts and crafts stuff before and enjoy it, the learning curve won't be much. I'm not artsy or craftsy at all so it was very challenging for me at first.
I am not sure how to define "fairly easy" either. My kit probably took around 10 hours total to build, and I messed up a lot and didn't build like 20% of it. I also suck and work slow so that's a factor.
Here are some helpful guides when starting:
I see the Heavyarms on Amazon but it's a little expensive if you want the original version, probably because it's popular: https://www.amazon.com/Bandai-Gundam-Heavyarms-Master-Grade/dp/B006F9CFWQ
Ideally, you would start with a smaller MS (1/144 grade maybe), but at the same time you will be more motivated if you're working on something you really like and want to get done. It's up to you.
I would watch some videos on what gunpla entails before you buy it because like I said, it can be a little involved and time consuming!

I am hoping someone can help me here, as it has been a long time since I have watched Gundam Wing. I am looking to build all the main Gundams from Wing. I found [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Bandai-Gundam-Heavyarms-Master-Grade/dp/B006F9CFWQ/ref=sr11?ie=UTF8&qid=1501597334&sr=8-1&keywords=gundam+wing+heavyarms), I am assuming that the EW means Endless Waltz, but I always remember the EW version looking like this. Am I just remembering things wrong?

Cheap kits? [R]4 years agobioshock3d posted submission on Gunpla.

Why are kits so cheap? I shop on amazon and I've been out of it for a while because I was broke. Today I decided to check out the cool new stuff and I noticed that everything, MG's and what not are all really cheap. I saw heavy arms for 33 bucks! I still don't have any money but when I do get paid I'm gonna splurge

My boyfriends birthday is coming up and I want to surprise him with a gundam model and he likes one called 'heavy arms' (?) I think :x should I buy it off eBay or is that sketchy? What's the best sight to buy one in your opinion? Anything helps really, I just want to make him happy :) it'll be the first model he ever gets too!

OK, I'm in socal, there is a ton of gunpla shops near me. I believe there are some around the Bay Area but don't know about Sac.
Here is the MG Heavy Arms at a store I frequent, I never had to have them ship to me because they are local but I like them.
This was released I believe in 2011, they did a re-release of all the Gundam Wing kits which Heavy Arms is from.
If you have Prime you can get it shipped for free and its pretty much identical price

I'm looking to get my roommate a kit to build over the holiday downtime. His favorite mobile has always been heavy arms. What kits have the best detail without painting?

The biggest/best detailed version of the HeavyArms is simply the 1/100 MG EW version. It's actually on discount now for 39.50:
