Just dabbled in this myself.

Used Tamiya clear red to replicate Scotty paint after some research.

If you are only doing letter paint fill enamel paint may prove slightly tougher

If you want some better looking fresh blood spatters I'll let you in on a secret:

This stuff: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TT856HG/ref=cmswrfmapa_W2uPAb9TB5ZX2

Its actually a translucent red acrylic paint. You can get pretty much any color you want. Put two coats of it on the backside of the "glass".

Give this a go sometime: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TT856HG/ref=ohauisearch_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great product. A bit less thick but still very pigmented. I pretty the glossy type of finish to that of Blood for the Blood God, Praise be His name.

Pretty happy with my White Lion -- not bad for a first-timer with shaky hands! [R]

For blood, I'll go with Tamiya Clear Red

Be sure to thin it.

For skin tone, I really enjoy Vallejo's Model Color

Ten coats of clear red later... [R]

This can also be done by taking any silver metallic (boltgun metal/leadbelcher/etc) and using Tamiya Clear Red. It can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-Acrylic-Gloss-Clear-TAM81027/dp/B00TT856HG

I painted Khador jacks using this over boltgun metal and they came out looking cool similar to this but with less depth. Only downside is the models absolutely must dry in a humidity and dust free place to else it will be sadness. Also it will take much much longer than you think to dry. Lastly whatever brush you use is now your Tamiya Clear Red application brush forever. So don't use a nice one.

They look awesome. But I think I know whats missing. The reds are just orange. Get some Tamiya X27 Gloss Red. It makes very vivid blood effects. I think adding that in places would really bump up the contrast.

How would I go about making dripping blood on models? [R]

This guy ^

Came on to say the same thing. UHU glue for any thing substantial, then paint on Tamiya X-27 Clear Red for the actual blood. The stuff looks amazing. https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-Acrylic-Gloss-Clear-TAM81027/dp/B00TT856HG
